i enjoy taking the bus around LA, and sometimes i enjoy even more waiting for it.
i kept staring at this guy for minutes, and finally, too intrigued, I asked what he was up to. he said that under that cover was supposed to be a tree growing and the city put that cover to prevent the tree from becoming big and hide the bus stop sign. i didn’t really buy the story, but his determination and commitment to his endeavour was so big that i decided to help him try move the thing, knowing already of course that it was going to be pointless. unfortunately, the bus came and i never had the chance to see if he did manage to accomplish his goal or not.
say what you want, but this guy’s perseverance reminded me a lot of things about what it is to be a filmmaker.
